None of those entries, by itself, proves where someone lives now.

Blank phone fields occur. Residential address, private number, birth date, and personnel history are not part of the listing. If a name is missing, contact the department’s main line or use Reno’s records-request channel for a specific existing record.

The Assessor can be searched by owner, address, or APN, which is the assessor’s parcel number. ICRIS, the Recorder’s index, lists grantors and grantees, meaning parties who transfer or receive an interest in a recorded instrument. It needs a party name and approximate date and cannot search a street address, legal description, or APN. The practical route is address to Assessor, exact owner spelling and last-document date, then owner name to ICRIS. Public voter lists and court party searches are separate, rule-bound sources, not substitutes for the Assessor or Recorder.
Use directory entries only for lawful personal research. A listed owner, recorded party, or work contact does not establish present residence or identity.

The Washoe County Clerk’s DBA and fictitious-firm-name search reaches from 1887 to the present and refreshes about every 30 minutes. Its workflow is exact: open the online search, accept the disclaimer, choose DBA/FFN Search, clear the all-document-types box, select the Fictitious Firm Name document types, and enter the person or firm under All Names. The filing applies only within Washoe County. It does not reserve a unique name or search other counties and the Secretary of State at once.

NARA’s directory inventory confirms preservation microfilm for Reno-area runs in 1925 through 1928 and 1930 through 1931. These channels complement one another rather than prove a complete annual series.

Washoe County Historical Directory Timeline
UNR Digital Special Collections says its local directory series begins in 1900. Verified issues include 1900, 1904, 1906, 1907, 1911–1912, 1913–1914, 1925–1926, 1927–1928, 1929–1930, 1930–1931, 1932, 1935, 1937, 1938, and 1939. The list marks discoverable volumes, not an unbroken run.
